Yes. Rebus Master is free to download on iOS and Android, and all 1,700+ levels are playable without paying — no level is ever locked behind a purchase. Purchases are optional: Rebus Pro ($4.99/month) removes forced ads, raises your lives cap from 5 to 8 and makes hints 25% cheaper, and a one-time Remove Ads purchase and coin packs are also available.

How does the game work — what is a rebus?

Each level shows an illustration that represents an English word, phrase or idiom. You fill in a hidden cryptogram one letter at a time — tiles with the same number hide the same letter — and some tiles stay locked until you solve their neighbors. How many levels does Rebus Master have?

More than 1,700 illustrated levels as of September 2026, and new ones are added regularly. The catalog mixes everyday words (BREAKFAST, DRAGON), compound words and English idioms such as PIECE OF CAKE and LET THE CAT OUT OF THE BAG.

Can I play Rebus Master with friends?

Yes. Friend Duel lets you challenge a friend to the same puzzles — each of you plays on your own time and the faster solver wins. Teams let you chat, send lives and cards to teammates, and climb weekly Team Battle leagues from Bronze to Champion.

What is Survival Rush?

Survival Rush is a timed mode added in the September 2026 update, out now on iOS and Android. The clock starts at 25 seconds, every solved puzzle adds time and every wrong letter costs 3 seconds, while answers get longer and locks join in. Each level earns stars for a weekly league. It unlocks after level 11. Watch the trailer.

Does Rebus Master have ads?

The free version shows ads, but never during a puzzle. Your first few levels are ad-free; after that you may see a short ad between levels. Rewarded videos for bonuses are always optional, and Rebus Pro or the one-time Remove Ads purchase turns forced ads off.

Is there a rebus puzzle app for iPhone and Android?

Yes. Rebus Master is a free rebus puzzle app with 1,700+ illustrated levels — download it from the App Store for iPhone or from Google Play for Android. You can also try it without installing anything: a free daily rebus plays in your browser at rebusmaster.com/daily.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Rebus Master needs an internet connection to play: it keeps your progress, the daily puzzle, duels, teams, collection events and leaderboards in sync.

Will I actually learn English idioms?

Partly — the catalog is a mix. Plenty of levels are everyday words and compounds (HONEYBEE, CUPCAKE, LADYBUG), and classic idioms are in there too (COLD SHOULDER, BLACK SHEEP). Every puzzle comes with a hint sentence explaining what it means.

Which devices are supported?

Rebus Master runs on iPhone (iOS) and on Android phones and tablets.

How do I manage or delete my data?
